Our full range of services is available for the following groups, except our Health Promotion leaflet service, which is funded for those working in Brighton & Hove only (see below).

Contact us- NHS staff in acute, community, mental health and primary care in Sussex and neighbouring counties (includes Trainees, Bank, Locum, volunteers and retired staff.)
- Dental staff providing NHS care in Sussex and neighbouring counties.
- Healthcare students on placement in acute, community, mental and primary care in Sussex and neighbouring counties
- University staff teaching healthcare courses in Sussex and neighbouring counties
Public Health and Social Care, Hospices, health-related charities and voluntary organisations in Sussex and neighbouring counties have access to our full services and can visit the libraries but cannot be logged onto our PCs or use printing and scanning facilities.
Patients and the public can use our libraries for reference only, by appointment. In addition, the Health Information Point at the Royal Sussex County Hospital provides free drop-in health information for patients and the public.
Health Information PointThe following groups can visit our libraries for Reference use only:
- Other local authority departments or departments outside Sussex and neighbouring countries
- NHS staff and trainees working outside Sussex and neighbouring counties
- Students not on clinical placement or studying outside Sussex and neighbouring countries. The SCONUL scheme allows all students to use University of Brighton, University of Sussex and University of Chichester libraries.
Teachers working in Brighton and Hove also have access to the Health Promotion leaflets and resources at the RSCH Library.
