BBC and ITV News crews visited the Louisa Martindale Building at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on Tuesday, ahead of its opening later this month.
Staff who will be working in the new building showed the reporters around their departments and shared their excitement about the opening of the facility.
The first outpatient appointments in the Louisa Martindale Building will be on Monday 12 June, with wards moving later in the month.
The move programme has been carefully planned to keep patients safe and well cared for as wards and departments transfer into the new building.
