University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex) is an NHS foundation trust which provides clinical services to people in Brighton and Hove, parts of East Sussex and West Sussex.
We run seven hospitals across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. The mission of University Hospitals Sussex – what we are striving to achieve – is to provide ‘excellent care every time’.
We’re proud to be at the heart of the NHS. As one of the UK’s largest acute Trusts, we’re a leading example of the excellence, the ambition and the values that have embodied the NHS for over 70 years.
To do this, we put the interests of our patients first and foremost, and are underpinned by our values:
- Compassion
- Communication
- Teamwork
- Respect
- Professionalism
- Inclusion
These values were selected by our staff, patients and public when we defined the sort of organisation we want University Hospitals Sussex to be.
We treat our patients and staff with the same compassion and empathy we expect for ourselves. We’re here for them when they need us, and we go above and beyond to meet their needs.
The sections or departments that provide services to people with disabilities include the following:
- Donald Wilson House Rehabilitation Centre
- Sussex Rehabilitation Centre
- Neuro Outpatient Physiotherapy Service
- Neuropsychology
- Orthotics and Surgical Appliances
- Psychological support following major trauma
- The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital
