A new physiotherapy musculoskeletal (MSK) integrated service has been introduced for patients in Sussex.
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust and Here have been awarded a new contract to deliver MSK services in West Sussex and Brighton and Hove. Formerly known as Sussex MSK Partnership Central, the service has been rebranded as Sussex MSK Health: Brighton & Hove and West Sussex from 2 December 2024.
This new service for muscle, bone, and joint care aims to make it easier for you to get the support you need to live well.
What this means for our patients
At University Hospitals Sussex, this will mean that our current physiotherapy MSK service will transition to Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
Even though the service will now be delivered by a new provider, your care will continue to be delivered at our sites and patients will still attend their appointments as normal.
To ensure continuity of care, we will be sharing patient data with the new service provider, Sussex MSK Health, to help support your current and ongoing healthcare needs. This information will be handled securely and used solely for your medical care.
For patients who use the Patient Knows Best (PKB) app, the UHSussex physiotherapy MSK service will no longer be supported on the app and information will not be updated, as this service will now be delivered by Sussex MSK Health.
Patients can be assured that your appointments remain unchanged, and you should still attend as scheduled.
Transforming care
The transition to Sussex MSK Health marks the next step in delivering even better care for Sussex communities. While the high standards of care, expertise, and collaboration you’ve experienced will continue, the new service will make accessing and managing your MSK health easier and more effective.
