Biography
Dr John Laurie studied medicine at Aberdeen University and trained as a haematologist at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. There, John developed an interest in the myeloproliferative neoplasms and transfusion medicine as well as NHS management and teaching.
As part of the UH Sussex Haematology team he provides all aspects of haematology care including that of haematological malignancies, haemostatasis and thrombosis, general haematology and transfusion medicine.
John has a specialist interest in chronic myeloid leukaemia, myelofibrosis, polycythaemia vera and essential thrombocythaemia as well as obstetric haematology.
