Since Alison Milner graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Furniture Design her work has developed and diversified.
The relationship of nature to the built environment is a key theme in her practice.
Her aesthetic is clean and clear – reducing, simplifying and uncovering underlying patterns. Alison injects gentle humour, visual poetry, narrative and a sense of place into her work.
Alison Milner is one of 12 artists commissioned by University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, and Willis Newson, to create artworks that has been produced as large-scale feature wall prints and placed at key junctions to aid wayfinding around the redevelopment of Brighton’s Royal Sussex County Hospital.
