How do I apply for accommodation?
If you wish to apply for a stay in our accommodation, please fill out our online application form on the website. This will automatically be sent to our Accommodation Officer who will pick up your request, review it and then contact you on the email address you provide on the form. It is important that all sections of the form are filled out.
How can I pay for my accommodation booking?
We accept payment over the phone or in person using a debit or credit card. If you wish to pay over the phone, please call us at the contact details provided on the website between Monday and Friday. We do not accept American Express payments or bank transfers.
Do I need to bring my own cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils?
Yes, you will find very basic kitchen equipment. However, if you have specific needs you may like to bring your own. There is assigned space for each resident in the cupboards and fridge freezer provided.
Will I be provided with bed linen and a towel?
Yes, all residents are provided with a duvet, pillows, bed sheet, duvet cover, pillowcases and a towel upon arrival. If you are staying with us on a six-month tenancy, you will be expected to return the Trust bedding and towel within the first two weeks of your stay and provide your own going forward.
Is there any Wi-Fi in the accommodation?
The hospital does supply an open network Wi-Fi network which you can connect to if you choose, however, there is no Wi-Fi provided specifically for Park Road, Worthing accommodation buildings. For Park Road residents see our amenities page.
Are there any laundry facilities at the accommodation?
Aberdare Close, Chichester, SRH
Yes, there is a laundry room located on the ground floor of Block 28-53 which is accessible via the side entrance door. The laundry room contains two washing machines and two tumble driers. These machines accept £1 coins only and there is no changing facility. The laundry room is not 24-hour, so please take note of the opening/closing times displayed on the door.
Horton Court, Worthing
Yes, there is a laundry room located on the ground floor of Block 7-12 Horton Court. If you do not reside in this block there will be an extra key given to you, so you can gain access to the facilities. The laundry room contains two washing machines and two tumble driers. These machines accept £1 coins only and there are no change facilities.
Park Road, Worthing
Washing machines and dryers are available in the kitchen.
If you have any issues with these, please notify the accommodation office who will inform Worthing Homes. Any repairs will be undertaken by them.
Is the accommodation cleaned daily?
Our housekeepers work Monday to Friday and will clean the communal areas of the accommodation daily. It is the responsibility of the resident to keep their own room clean and tidy. There is no cleaning done over the weekends or on bank holidays.
Where is the accommodation office, and what are the opening hours?

Is there parking at the accommodation?
Unfortunately we do not have specific parking for residents to use. Multiple public and staff car parks can be found around the hospital grounds. If you require a parking permit, please send an email to [email protected], as this is not something we are able to deal with.
What do I do if I have lost my keys?
Office hours
Replacement keys can be obtained from the accommodation office during normal working hours. A charge of £30 is made for each key replaced.
Out of office hours
If you have locked yourself out, outside of hour hours please see the emergency out of hours procedure page under your relevant location for details on who to contact.
Can I cancel my tenancy agreement early?
The tenancy you have been issued is a legal document and should be kept in a safe place.
If you wish to vacate before the tenancy end date, you will be liable to pay a financial penalty for each month still to run on that tenancy.
Please contact the accommodation office for any further questions regarding your tenancy agreement.
What do I need to do before departure from my accommodation?
On departure from your accommodation, please ensure that you:
- return keys to the switch room by 10.00am
- remove all your belongings and rubbish
- return your car parking permit to the parking department
- leave your room clean and tidy
- return your security swipe card
- redirect post via the Royal Mail
Infringement of regulation charges
Charges may be levied for infringement of regulations. These could be:
- obstruction of corridors, entrance halls, stairways and landings etc.
- wedging or tampering with fire doors or fire fighting equipment
- damage to property
- misuse of kitchen
- unauthorised overnight guests
- pets in rooms
- any infringement of the accommodation policy
The Environment Health Department (EHO) can prosecute a tenant directly for non-compliance with EHO Fire Regulations.
