October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is an annual campaign raising awareness around screening, treatment, and prevention of breast cancer. And every October, people all over the world show their support for those affected. Breast cancer does not just affect women, it can also affect men but is less common, so this campaign aims to show how important it is to detect breast cancer early in order to save lives.
October 20th is Breast Cancer Now’s ‘wear it pink’ day and this is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK with thousands of amazing people wearing it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
